Salt Water Tattoo was founded in 2017 by long-time tattooers, Tony Riccio and Mike Rickards with the idea to build one of the most stylistically-diverse tattoo shops in Virginia Beach. Since then, Tony and Mike have brought on some of the most talented tattoo artists in the area to work in their shop - performing a range of tattoo styles for anyone that walks through the door.
Covered in flash, and featuring a custom pin-striped shark sculpture overhead, the Salt Water shop is a traditional tattoo parlor. It’s compact, with an open layout - creating an inclusive atmosphere where you’re part of the conversation, and there’s no awkward silence.
The artists at Salt Water Tattoo have experience in a variety of tattoo styles including American Traditional tattoos, Japanese Style tattoos, lettering tattoos, black and gray tattoos, and new school tattoos. With over 40 years of combined experience, our Virginia Beach tattoo artists welcome tattoos of all sizes, by appointment or walk-in, and also specialize in tattoos that meet military guidelines.
